Teachers vs. Computers 08/24/2009
Do you think that computers can replace teachers in the classroom? The use of computers in the classroom is indeed helpful for the present and next generation. But I strongly believe that we still need teachers to guide our children. There are things that a teacher can do that a computer cannot. A teacher can help students in terms of decision making, determining right from wrong and as well as with technical objects like computers/machinery. Yes, many of today's generation are now studying from home with the use of computer, but is there any interpersonal communication involved? Computers are there to help us speed up our work, give us information that we need--from our world's history to new inventions, and save important documents. But does a computer have the ability to connect with us like humans do? Fetus Anyone??? 08/24/2009
In other countries, abortion is already legalized... I am happy that it is not legalized in the Philippines. I just feel for those unborn babies, it's just so sad to know about these things. BABIES THROWN AWAY LIKE A GARBAGE. I know it is none of my business why some people have to decide to abort a child, but I just think that it is wrong... Even if it is just a day old in the womb. I know most of you know about aborted fetus being served as a food and people are encouraged to eat it because it is said to help "restore health." Rumor or not, I strongly disagree with this, let us have a little respect to these unwanted babies--for me, they are considered humans too. Call me BLIND. 08/22/2009
Are you willing to give a person a second chance knowing that she cheated on you twice? If you'd ask me that question, I'll say, "It really depends." I think that there are various reasons why my partner cheated. I guess there is a really BIG problem in me. She always says that I have an attitude and she never liked it. This incidence only proves that love is not enough to make a relationship work, be as strong as steel or last longer like a perfume on your skin. Every minute of every day I was wishing that it never had happened, it hurts me. I hope things will work out fine and we will be able to forgive each other. The pessimist in me always say that if it happened once, it will happen twice and if it does happen again there is a big chance that it will definitely happen over and over again. I have been praying about this all these time; praying that it will stop hunting me. I hope that God will be with us and between us. I don’t want to end this relationship soon because I love you. I was not born in the 17th, 18th, 19th nor in the 20th century. But, I think there was a change in the people's view on religion. There are many types of religion around the world--Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Christianity, and etc. In fact, the great leaders of today's generation think that religion has something to do with unity and war. I believe that you have seen people debate and criticize each others' religion. Ironically, their goal is to promote world peace. Aside from our view on religion there is also a continuous change and development in science and technology. Everyday, we discover new inventions like mobile phones, laptops, and all other gadgets/machinery that you can think of. There are also new theories and researches on various topics circulating in the internet. These things and ideas only prove that people are hard to satisfy; we always look for something new and the only thing that we can never change is CHANGE. | AuthorI am an optimist; I see things in a different way.
